Place a Rectangle outside of band

Hey I am pretty new in working with iReport. I have to work with the version 4.0.2 because the main software request it.

I downloaded a standard report, which contains everything I need. The only issue I have it doesn't look (design) the way I need it. I need a rectangle with a green color in the footer of the whole report on every page.

I placed successfully a rectangle in the footer band. But how do I place the rectangle outside of the band? Because of the margins of the page, it is still white left, right and under the footer band, if I print the report. I tried to work with background but it works also with margins.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello,

this would be possible only if you actually remove the margins in the report. Margins define what space should be preserved and not occupied by any of the elements.
