sorting of graphs

Im making a few dashboards, using jasperserver pro (probably switching to aws service, but using this just to test out) and in the ad-hoc views, whenever I make a graph where the x axis is not numerical, it automatically sets it as alphabetical. Is there a way to change this? It creates some weird graphs like this

I've done this by constructing the display names for the day field with a numeric suffix: "5 Friday,  1 Monday", etc. Another tactic is to get the sorting you want correct in a crosstab and then switch the Ad Hoc view to a chart.

Thank you, setting it to crosstab, adjusting the order and switching it back worked.
