Does Jasperreports 4.7 community edition support Oracle somehow?

to access data from oracle db, you have to:

. copy to apache-tomcatlib directory under jasperserver directory the files

ojdbc14.jar
ojdbc14_g.jar
ojdbc14dms.jar
ojdbc14dms_g.jar

. as administrator, define new Data Source:

type: JDBC
driver: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@oracle_server:1521:aracle_sid
User: oracle_user
password: aracle_password
