anusha.jalla
We set up an EC2 instance for Jaspersoft and don't see iReport to develop any reports. Does the Amazon EC2 instance of Jaspersoft come only with server option? iReport needs to be used locally and deployed to the server? Please advise. Thanks, Anu

marianol
You only need iReport locally on the workstation you develop the reports (there is no need to have it installed in your server). iReport will allow you to connect with the server instance that you have deployed on AWS. Just download and install iReport Locally on your commputer and follow the instructions here: http://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/ireport-connecting-jasperserver to connect it to your JasperServer on AWS
anusha.jalla
aws is running on windows platform. Does the development happen by RDP to the EC2 instance or on local work station?
anusha.jalla
How about JETL pro? Should that also be used locally and deploy to Jasper server?
shankarpanda003
Your database must have been there at cloud,so Its best practice to run iReport on cloud and compile your report there and upload the jrxml file directly onto the server or through iReport... marianol
I assume you have used the JasperServer for AWS from the AWS Marketplace, in that case Japser ETL Pro is not part of that offering (see http://www.jaspersoft.com/editions). If you have an AWS instance from the marketplace running you can register for free or paid support from here: https://www.jaspersoft.com/store/aws-support.
