scheduler report output - how to add a new output checkbox

Hi,

Requirement is to add a new checkbox (pipe delimiter output) to the existing output formats.  (html, csv, pdf etc). 

I am able to make the changes to UI by modifying the jsp and properties file.  But when the actual report is run by the scheduler, unable to produce the new report output (pipe delimiter). Modified the following files to achieve this:

applicationContext-report-scheduling.xml

added new custom class and added the bean in the above xml, but still jasper doesn't invoke the custom code. 

Can someone please share your ideas on how to achieve this?
