Special characters converted in Html format ?

2005-01-07 08:21

With ISO-8859-1 (Latin1) or UTF8, when I generate reports in Excel format, special characters as &,... are converted in HTML format (&).

No problem to display 鬨,ମ.. characters.

I?ve got a similar problem. I have some text in a mysql db, which is stored in html with special caracters. When I retrieve this data into my report, the & of the special caracters is converted to &, for instance, and my text looks like a mess. How can I avoid this conversion?

thanks.

My problem is identical to that described by javinha. Is it possible to have a solution very quickly because it is urgent.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Is this about styled text?

Thank you,

Teodor

Teodor,

Yes, there is a problem with special characters in the styled text. In particular, trying to print an

amperstand' & ' using a JasperReport variable within a text field where the style text property is set to true. It prints out the variable contents with the style tags etc instead of converting the variable contents based on the style tag.

Any suggestions?
