tel99mex
Hi, I'm working on iReports 4.6.0, getting data from Mysql database.*Query on DB is getting 48 rows and 4 Columns(see attached)*Using "Line Chart" type(see attached)But I'm having problems when I get the preview report, the PDF is showing 48 charts all are the same(see pdf attached). The matrix is a 48x4 It should be showing only 1 chart but is showing 48 as I mentioned before. Thank you in advance.
gdmoreno
What band are you putting the line chart in? Is it the Detail band? What happens when you put it in the Summary band?
tel99mex
gdmoreno, it is in the Detail band, If i put the chart in the Summary band or another one it gives me a warning after compilling:Warning: Element bottom reaches outside band area.I'm affraid that is not valid to put the chart in summary band. Thank you for you time!
gdmoreno
Hi, you get the " Warning: Element bottom reaches outside band area" message when the chart element is bigger than the dimensions of the band. So try stretching down the summary band so that the line chart element fits inside the Summary band. You can make the Summary band bigger by pulling down the bottom edge of Summary band. Or you could select the Summary band in the Report Inspector, and set the "band height" property to a higher value.
tel99mex
Yes, I've tried that but still not working, see attached the pic, there is a warning when I try to pull the pic to another band. It's very strange, i can't understand why it's givin me so much charts.Por example, if I get only 12 rows it gives me 12 charts.Thanks. gdmoreno
Really strange, your chart element is entirely within the band! Hmm...What happens if you use a slightly older version of iReport? Maybe iReport 4.5.1?
tel99mex
I tried today but it is happening the same. I'll try with an excel file as data source, to see what happens. But tomorrow. Thank you again.
tel99mex
Great news! I've solve it. gdmoreno: you were right, the chart must be in the summary band, but i had to reduce the other bands and give more space to the summary band without overpassing the A4 format in order to have only one chart. Now it looks great! Thank you very much.
