Determine if report is run in JasperReports Server

How can I determine if a report is run from the JasperReports Server?

 

Background. When running a report in iReport I can use  JOptionPane.showMessageDialog  to show a message to the user. In JasperReports Server this gives an error.

So before showing the message I want to check if the report is run from JasperReports Server.

JOptionPane.showMessageDialog comes from Java Swing. It cannot run at serverside web applications unless you make it as Java applet.

Yet my question is still unanswered: is there a way to determine in a scriptlet if the report is run in the JasperReports Server of locally in iReport?

If the JasperServer runs on a different OS you could try something like this:

( System.getProperty("os.name").equals("OS/400") ? "/reports/templates/images/Logo1_noTag.png" : "H:\Jasper\Logos\Logo1_noTag.png" )
