pme
Hello,i have a problem with the JasperServer-iReport-Plug-In. I hope somebody can help me.I tried to get help in the jasper-server-forum, but nobody could could help me to solve my problem. We have an JasperServer (4.1.0) on an UNIX-System. Now we want to access the server with iReport (4.0.2) for updating a jrxml-file.When iReport is running on Windows XP, we can browse the repository and see (download) the jrxml-File, but when i try to update the file ("Replace with current Document" in the Context-Menu or in the Properties-Dialog) after a while an error-dialog shows "Error:; nested exception is:java.net.SocketException: Connection reset".But when i try to update the jrxml-file with an iReport running on Windows7 all is running without problems. For testing we have install an JasperServer (4.0.1) and iReport (4.0.2) on an other Windows XP and try to do the same:Both Windows XP-iReport can update jrxml-files on the Windows XP Jasper-Server without problems. And both Windows XP-iReport get an Error by updating a file on the UNIX-jasper-server.We have check all settings, but we do not find the reason, why the windows-xp-iReport can not update the files on the UNIX -jasper-server.I hope somebody can help me to solve the problem.thanking you in anticipationP.Megow
federico.cattozzi
Hi, I am experiencing the same problem. My environment:Client: Jaspersoft iReport Designer 4.5.1 -> 4.6Server: JasperReports Server 3.5 -> 4.5Java: JRE 7 update 7System: Windows 7 version 6.1 64bit I think that the guilty is Java 7.Surfing the web you can find other bugs related to SocketException in Java 7. I solved forcing iReport to use Java 6.Edit iReport shortcut adding appropriate "jdkhome" option as below:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Jaspersoft\iReport-4.5.1\bin\ireport.exe" --jdkhome "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_33"
