Interactive sorting

Hi all! I have a task to implement sorting of JR's reports, i.e. after report was rendered in HTML, user should be able to click on column's header to sort by this column.

I've found a beautiful slides form some presentation: http://www.jaspersoft.com/sites/default/files/jw-presentations/JW11_Interactivity_With_JasperReports_TeodorDanciu.pdf and this file describes a task very similar to mine. But there are very few lines of code , and I didn't understand how should it works :(

First of all, I don't understand why hyperlink, created in iReport and existed in its preview, does not exist in rendered HTML report.

Maybe, someone have any experience or examples of similar task? I can't believe, that such a powerful tool like JR cannot do such a common task as interactive sorting.
