Image got more shrinked and looked more weird now.instead i tried resizing the image to match with the dimaension specified in the iReport. it looks better now, still its not as clear as the real image. I used the image in png format, since Jpeg is not good with sharp edges and tends to blur them a bit.No idea what jasper does to the image on rendering?
