Charts missing labels when exported to pdf

Hi

We have just moved from one linux server to another.  The original server is Fedora with Open JDK 1.6.0_0 and the new is CentOS 5.5 with Open JDK 1.6.0_17.  All reports with or without charts render well in word, pdf and directly in the jasperserver web interface on the original server.

Everything within the apache tomcat 6.0.18 directory, jasperserver CE 3.7.0 included was synced over from the original server so it is identical on the new server. However when you export a report as a pdf on the new server the charts have no labels, titles or type in the legend.

All fonts that are on the original server are on the new one. CentOS shows all these fonts as registered. The chart renders perfectly within the jasperserver web interface, flash and word. The problem only exists when the report is exported to pdf.

We've tried changing the jasperreports.properties, net.sf.jasperreports.awt.ignore.missing.font=false, so that it might throw an exception but it doesn't.

Any ideas you might have about something to try/check would be greatly appreciated.

I'm facing the same problem. My pdf report was working right in XP, 2003 and Solaris, but after moving to Redhat began to cut some words and generate blank pages.

Do you find some solution to this problem?

I had the same problem: OK in windows 7, but missing labels on pie chart when using LINUX UBUNTU and exporting to PDF.
Solution: in chart properties, change Render type from draw to image.
