How to use external queries for sub report?

Hi All,

I would like to create multiple subreports in a parent report and then use a seperate external query from the repository for each sub report. Is it possible?

I have seen an option to select external query "From the Repository" at "Locate Query" step in jasperServer. But it is unselectable. I don't know why? See the attachment.

I am using iReport (v 3.7.1) and jasperServer (v 2.0.1).

Hi,

I have a very similar problem. On jasperserver (v. 5.5)  my reports work fine, also with adding an external query from the repository(modified manually on the server).

When I use one of those reports as a subreports, the reference in the main report to execute the subreport works fine but the query from repository isn't executed.

Could you solve your problem? Or does anybody else know how to add external queries to subreports?
