Removing default date from date picklist

Hi 

i am creating the ad hoc reports from the topic,   there is a date input control  in the report its taking some default date as input, how to remove the default date from the date input cotrol for more clarification please the attached screen shot,

By default , it creates the Is between filter and this default values are minumum and maximum values for corresponding fields ..

Also , if u change the filter to any other filter type ..the default value for date is changed to null

suppose i changed filter to other type  i will not get the date picker,
