Heights of Fields in iReport in mm

Hello all,

I have a peculiar problem. I am not sure whether this is already discussed or not. I have a report created in iReport. It has Track and Artist value in detail part. I have to make this report which prints the tracks and artist name on a paper form/report. The problem is each cell in actual report is 6mm + gap between cell 2mm. I tried to follow that also in my report. But when I printed my report I found that it matches at the beginning but after 9/10 rows, the values are no more on the cell. Till now what I have found that Jasper only support pixel and pixel does not exactly matches mm scale. What can I do in this situation. I have to use iReport 3.0.0.

Just keep in mind that the resolution of the print is 72pixel per inch.

Then make your math and calculate the exact size you need for the cells.

When working with millimeters, you see you may get some rounding problem inside the same page.

Hello,

Yes I am aware of that and you are right also because I am working with milimeter and single page has more than 30 rows to print. There I get the problem. It does not match with the grid.  I tried to solve this problem by introducing 2 subreport (with 15 record in each subreport.). It is solved partially (because when a single page has more records then only 2 subreports might not work). So I guess I have to be happy with the solution due to milimeter and pixel problem.
