baggypants
Clearly you're bonkers. Why bother with an excellent xhtml layout engine if your going to ignore it?It's not even in viewReportBeans.xml as an optional exporter. Is it in the Pro edition? Can I buy my way to better web reports? If anyone feels inclined they can vote for the bug I filed two months ago herehttp://jasperforge.org/projects/jasperserver/tracker/view.php?id=4433 Otherwise an impressive piece of software. Well Done.
mdahlman
With many 1000's of JasperServer users, there will surely be some cases where a report worked one way with the HTML exporter but would work differently with the XHTML exporter. It is just that we did not do all the required regression testing yet to be confident that folks would be happy with the upgrade. So the HTML exporter remains in place out of an abundance of caution. It would be great if we had a tutorial explaining how to swap in the XHTML exporter for folks like you that prefer it already. If we had such a tutorial, it would go here: http://www.jaspersoft.com/business-intelligence-tutorials. But we don't.XHTML is clearly the way of the future. (Or should we be working on an HTML 5.0 exporter??)Regards,Matt
