iReport not starting

Hi,

I'm new in iReport so I downloaded and installed iReport 3.6 on Windows XP. When I try to start the application I can see the splashscreen loading since "activating modules" message, when the screen is closed and process too.

Any idea about what is wrong?

I have tried executing "ireport_w.exe -J-Dplugin.manager.check.updates=false", but neither works.

What JVM do you have?

Where is located your user directory?

I'm working with Java 1.5.0

My user directory is located in "C:\Documents and Settings\user"

After much flailing, I discovered that my JAVA_HOME was messed up.

Once I set it up correctly, I was golden.

However, I do apperciate the response.

Sorry for the late answer... I was away...

I have verified my JAVA_HOME and it's pointing to my j2sdk1.5.0 path. I tried too to pointing to my j2re1.5.0 path.

Any other idea??

Try to check the log file in your user home/.ireport/<version>/var/log/messages.log
