Detail width

Hello!

I need to combine the "detail" band with static text in one line (see attachment).

 

"static text" on the left side must be the same height as the generated "detail" block from the right. Now, if I put some static text in the "detail" band it repeats for every "detail" row. If I set isPrintRepeatedValues=false, the it prints only for the first detail row. I don't know, is there any way to set detail width not the same as the page width?

For now, I see only one solution: use two subreports in the "detail" band.

I can't think of any solution other than a subreport (or a list element).

There's no band in JR templates that gets rendered alongside the detail bands.
