franciwe
Hi, I really hope someone can help me. My company is piloting iReports as a new reporting / label generation tool and I was wondering whether there is a solution for my outstanding issues? I am completely new to this tool, so I am a little unsure how some things may work. As you can see in my atttached diagram (apologies for it's 'unpolished' nature') I have an A6 label layout that I have produced on a landscape A6 page. Based on 'multiple line' information coming in from an XML document, I need to iterate over a list of lines and output these four to an A4 landscape page. Four lines will appear as four labels on page one (each line having differing information) and the next four on page two etc. until all lines in the XML document have been printed (meaning say if there were only 5 lines, there will only be one label on the second page). I'm unsure if this tool can allow me to duplicate this A6 template four times on an A4 page. Please also be aware that ultimately, these A4 pages will be outputted in PDF format. Many thanks in advance,~franciwePost Edited by franciwe at 09/02/2009 07:
baggypants
Firstly you need to set the page to landscape. This is done in the report properties. Click on the report name in the Report Inspector and have a look in the Properties window and set the Orientation optionAlso in properties is the option to set up columns. set that to 2. It will calculate the appropriate width for youchange the detail band to the correct height for an A6 landscape label and fill in the column on the left and that should do it for you.
