iReport 3.5.0 - Cannot load object (subreport)

I have a master report (Master) which has 5 subreports (SR1...SR5).  In order to load these reports, I've setup a parameter (SUBREPORT_DIR) and loaded it with a valid folder name ("F:\\subRepotDir\\").

While editing the Master report, I can right click on each of the subreport definitions and choose open - which works perfectly.  So I know it's reading the SUBREPORT_DIR parameter correctly.  Once the selected subreport is opened, I can preview it w/o any errors.  But when I go back to the Master (thinking it just needed to regenerate the .jasper file for the new version) I still get the cannot load object error.

Is there a massive compiler (as in the 3.0.0 version).  Do I have to load each and every subreport and compile / preview them (that is NOT a good option on some of my larger reports, they can do 10 deep in optional subreports)?

Thanks in advance for any ideas on getting this to work.  It's for an end-of-month financial statement (and I'm talking the end of LAST month :o )

I'm having the same problem.

I just would add some details:

I have a master report with just one subreport. Both where designed with iReport 3.0.0 and they run properly with that version.

Now I switched to iReport 3.5.

I opened the subreport, I recompiled it and I run it (within iReport) successfully.

Then I opened the master report, but I cannot run it due to the following error:

"Error filling print... Could not load object from location: <...>"

Is there something that I should change moving from iReport 3.0 to 3.5?

Or is it a bug of iReport 3.5? In case, can anyone suggest a workaround?
