About use of javac compiler

2003-03-19 06:37

Firstlly, sorry my english. It?s not so good.

JasperReport is so good.

I?m satisfied and beleave it will be so better yet.

My question is about use of javac compiler.

allways - when compile my system, I receive a

warnning about javac deprecation.

Use of javac cause same problems related my system distribution that use Java Web Start.

I need inform javac Path where

jasperreport.jar were download by Java Web Start. Java Web Start change jasperreport.jar file name and its cache can change too.....

I have a suggestion to do:

change the javac by beanShell package to evaluate

java expressions ( like jFreeReport ).

I don?t know if it's a sample problem, but is my

sugestion and I like to know others opinions about.

Thank?s

Hi,

In the next version, the compilation process will

be improved.

We'll make way for the introduction of various other

compilers and even to tools like BeanShell.

However, the use of BeanShell will not come too

easy and it is more like a long shot.

But before getting to the new version, have you

tried to put the tools.jar in your classpath?

You can specify the compilation classpath

dynamically using the

"jasper.reports.compile.class.path" system

property.

Thank you,

Teodor
