DataSources usage

I want to pass information from a JTable to the report. JasperReport has a way to create a DataSource from a JTable, but I don't find how to create that DataSource in iReport.

I also thought to use a JavaBean DataSource, but it requires a static function which creates the Collection of JavaBeans. If that method is static how can I populate it with dynamic values, for example the data in a JTable.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the real functioning of JavaBeans DataSource. If that is not my best solution, which DataSource can I use?
