jasper file and jrxml files

Hi,

 

I want to discuss about which one is best on the reports.

 

if use jrxml files, we have to compile each time or compile and store in the memory cache but if we user jasper files no need to compile and we can call directly.

 

Please let me know, which one is good for the jasper reports

It depends. If speed is not an issue. Its better to store the JRXML file bcos it gives greater flexibility. You cannot modify all elements in the report file. Where as you can modify the JRXML file any how you want.
