limiting the size of subreport

Hi,

I have a band ,

in the band I have subreport were the data displayed in 3 columns ,

the problem is when I call the subreport from the main report it's display the data in only 1 column instead of 3 ,

How can I limit the size of the band that no matter what the subreport data is it won't take more then certain height ?????

or any other options to solve my problem ?

Even I want to know the solution of this problem.

 

What I found was, the data keeps on printing in a single column and when it finds no space to print the rest on the same page, it starts printing in the next column and so on.

 

There should be some way to define the column size. That would be really good.

Your problem have logic nature.

 

Maybe you can use group so you can tell if number which return subreport greater than x than new something.

 

You must describe your problem with more detail if you want to give better answer.

Hi Neon and all ,

I will try to describe my problem better .

I have table that store data about session ( I get the parameters from the user ) so I have One main session and others .

for the main session I create one page (include all the date )

but for the other session I try to put as much as I can in one page .

the session have "actions" and I display all the session "actions" ( actions can be only 1 or even 12 ) , the problem is when a session have more then 1 action it's display the list in 1 column and then I can't put few session in the same page ! .

also I use sub report that should display it in 3 columns .

anyone have any idea ?
