Jasper printing to printer default

Jasper is printing to the printer defaults rather than the user defaults so that when a user chooses to print the report to a printer whos default is 'A4' paper, and the user has her default set to 'letter' it will try to print 'A4'.

 

Any suggestions or similar issues?

I'm facing the same problem, too. How could we change the paper size to "letter"? And how to set other options?

The problem was that the pageWidth and pageHeight defaults in Jasper reflect the size of 'A4' paper so I've solved this problem by changing the pageWidth and pageHeight to reflect the size of a normal "letter" size document (8.5 X 11) which is roughly 532 X 792.

 

Now that I've done that the pages print correctly.

Could you tell me where you changed the size? In the report design XML file or you changed the JasperPrintManager.java source code?

I changed it in the xml file.
