different height of textfield with same xml

2003-06-08 12:52

Hi,

I am designing reports using iReport for JasperReport 0.4.6. When I render them to PDF in a windows/client-server app, a perfect report shows up (thanks for that by the way:-). I use it in a productive way since months.

But now I want to switch to a web solution. And when I use the same xml-definition under linux and tomcat (taking the original servelet demo as the base) the textfield will grow in heigt and the text-aligns of the fields is history. Background-fields seem to be ok.

I use the same font-settings as in the demo report.

To achieve the same height of the field I have to use a fontsize 6 instead of 10 before (or the other way round, I have to increase the textfield from 12 pt to 19 pt to have the text displayed in the tomcat report.

Does anybody experienced the same and what can I do to use the same xml-definition in windows/client server and linux/web?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Manfred

RE: different height of textfield with same x

Hi,

after a whole day of searching I came across this article:

http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=876188&forum_id=113530

and tried the "-Djava.awt.headless=true" parameter.

This seems to be doing the job.

Any explanations on that? I have no clue why :-(

Regards,

Manfred
