Total problem in Summary

hello,

 

i am not able to get the right total value in my summary page.

i have defined one group (vehicle type) in my report.

 

this is my data:

Cars

bmw 5$

mercedes 5$

lotus 5$

total: 15

----------------

bikes

honda 2$

yamaha 2$

suzuki 2$

total: 6

----------------

 

if i make a total at the end of the report on the summary page, i get the wrong value - Total Price: 6$

instead of Total Price: 21$

 

anyone a good hint.

One option is to create an additional "Top" group, which encompasses all others; and then have a variable;

 

Variable=$V{Total vehicles}

Calculation Type=Sum

Reset Type=Group

Reset Group=Top

Variable Expression=$F{number of vehicles}

 

then show the $V{total vehicles} in the footer band of the group Top.
