Question on JRSwapFileVirtualizer

Recommended Posts

I just want to know what maxSize means in JRSwapFileVirtualizer's constructor.

JRSwapFileVirtualizer( int maxSize, JRSwapFile swap )

The javadoc says that it is the maximum size (in JRVirtualizable objects) of the paged in cache.

I don't understand the description. Does this mean that this is the maximum number of JRVirtualizable objects created? Is this value significant when generating many reports? How is this property used by the JRSwapFileVirtualizer?

I'm asking because I have an issue with Jasper failing to create reports for large number of records. I am thinking of tweaking this property.
