Display 'No Row Found' text in report when no data

Hi,

 

What would be the best way to display some sort of message when the report query doesn't return any rows. Right now when our reports don't have any data they show up as blank. We'd like to embed some sort of message that 'no data is available' or something like that.

You could try using the REPORT_COUNT or maybe even PAGE_COUNT variables. If they are 0 then you could print a message.

Thanks- that works. We just look at the report count in the summary section and use that to display the message.

 

We also have charts at the top of the report. We can't use the report_count there since its not existant at that stage. Any idea how best to remove the chart when there is no data. We are looking at pushing charts in sub-reports since they are evaluated first and then returning counts from there. Wondering if there is an easier way.
