turjabarua
Hi All, In my application I have to include images in reports. But the problem is that image is not coming nice on the report. If I use svg image using scriptlet then the quality is good but then the image is not aligned properly. Also I need to decrease the image size. I am using jfree charts to generate charts, so now i guess if I convert my charts to pdf stream and then add it to jasper report the problem will be solved.Does anybody have idea about how to do it?? regauds, turja
szaharia
Hi, JasperReports contains a lot of JFreeChart support, and provides a certain number of builtin APIs based on JFreeChart to render almost any type of chart. If you want to see them at work, you can download the jasperreports-1.3.1-project.zip (or tar.gz) from here. After you extract the zip files, you'll find a sample charts application in the demo/samples/charts directory. In order to run it, you have to compile first the jasperreports application. Open a command line and switch the prompter to point to the jasperreports. Type "ant clean compile" and enter. Then, you need to start a hsqldb server. Open a command line and switch the prompter to point to the demo/hsqldb directory. Then type "ant runServer" and enter. After that, open another command line and point it to the demo/samples/charts folder. Type "ant clean javac compile fill pdf", and you'll find the generated pdfs in the same directory. Regards, sanda
