how to create charts

dear all,

 

i would like to know how to create bar/pie charts using ireport. i've written a sql that populates record like below.

 

Name - Total

Amy - 10

Ben - 12.5

Calvin - 9

Dean - 25

 

So how can i convert the populated data into a bar chart? your help is very much appreciated.

Set the Category Expression to $F{Name}

Set the Value Expression to $F{Total}

Set the Series Expression to "Totals"

I would like to create a pie chart for my database below:

 

name: RESULTS

Fields:

ID auto_inc

CUST_ID integer

DATE datetime

QUEST varchar

ANSWER varchar

 

I want to display the percentage of the answers per question. This is actually from the Survey Results..

 

I am using Eclipse IDE, GWT(Google Web Toolkit), iReport 1.3.1..

 

how can I generate the pie chart?
