how to prompt a parameter in html

I think that don't have a automatic way to do that in this case (through the isForPrompt attribute).

 

I do like this: the parameter value is given by the user through a form in the html page. When the user submit the form, then the servlet retrives the value and adds it to the parameters map that you pass to the method JasperFillManager.fillReport(stream, parameterMap).

yes your ide already i implement, but i need to prompt a parameter, because user can add without buzz a programmer.

 

if you try BIRT eclipse, you can see that report show in html but it can prompt a parameter.

 

 

i think this feature my be can be include in JR next release.
