Hibernate & Classpath problems

Recommended Posts

I am getting an exception when trying to Test a Hibernate connection. My hibernate configuration is loaded ok. A dialog tells me that the test was successful but console output reports the following exception:

Exception: java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver

at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:545)

at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:140)

at org.hibernate.connection.DriverManagerConnectionProvider.getConnection(DriverManagerConnectionProvider.java:110)

at org.hibernate.cfg.SettingsFactory.buildSettings(SettingsFactory.java:72)

I have the relevant postgresql.jar file set in my classpath.

No fields are accessible.

SQL connections work fine.

Could somebody offer a pointer?
