hey,

 

Just needed to know how i can print a field value in the detail band but horizontally...the report properties print horizontally doesnt seem to work.....the data is basically two columns true value and assign value for a particular id and these columns are multiple so i need to display them for an id ....lemme know if u have a solution...thanks

You need to do two operations for a report to function horizontally.

 

1. Set the Print Order to horizontal

2. On Columns tab define the number of column that you want on your report.

 

The column default is 1. If you don't change this it will appear that your report is not printing horizontally. In fact it is however it is only print 1 column across. Try making that value greater then 1.

I am trying to do the same thing except with subreports, I want reports to fill horizontally. I have 5 columns and 4 reports, the print order is also set correctly. I know there are only going to be 4 calls to the reports so they should not exceed the width of the page. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
