I found option "is for prompting" on parameter properties form.

 

Does it mean i-Report can ask for parameters value befor runing report?

No. This is a jasperreport attribute.

You can use the fiel "default parameter expression" to assign a value for a parameter using iReport.

I understand how to assign a value to a parameter from your posting. But how do you get iReport to prompt the user for the parameter when the report is executed?
