$P{REPORT_CONNECTION} as subreport connection

Passing the parameter $P{REPORT_CONNECTION}

as connection espression gives me the warning

Warning: The supplied java.sql.Connection object is null.

 

and obviusly retrives non subreport data.

What I'm doing wrong???

What version of iReport?

 

If you are using iReport 0.1.x (win32 version), leave blank the query field in compiler window.
