Spring Security was upgraded from version 2.0.x to 3.2.5 in JasperReports Server 6.0.1. If you are updating to JasperReports Server 6.0.1 or higher from 6.0 or earlier, you need to migrate your configuration files. See the document Upgrading Spring Security in TIBCO JasperReports Server, available from the support portal or the community website.

JasperReports Server relies on Spring Security 3.2 to provide the mechanisms that authenticate and authorize users. If you plan to make extensive customizations, JasperReports Server recommends that you delve more deeply into Spring Security by visiting its project pages and participating in its community.
