Allows direct embedding and interaction with web page content without the use of iFrames.

Calculations (Measures)
A whole new user experience for users to define new Fields and Measures with an MS-Excel like experience for defining formulas and selecting from pre-built functions for numeric, string or date based data.

Designer Improvements
No Data Mode
The user can turn off data retrieval when viewing Table or Cross Tab data from Topics of Domains. The user can then drag and drop items into Row and Column/Group locations with instantaneous performance.

Calculated Fields
Dependency checking for Display fields
The server's logic around managing changes to Domains has been improved. Certain referential integrity issues that occurred in Ad Hoc views when a Domain was changed are handled more gracefully in this release.
- Allow for Deletions of fields not used in any Ad Hoc View
- Allow for Name Change for fields used in Ad Hoc Views

Same Layout Rules as Regular Line/Area, Bar. Items in Columns are Legend Values
Bubble Charts
Requires 3 Measures in Columns Layout
Dual-Level Pie Charts
- Requires at least 1 Measure and 1 Field
- Restrictions on what items go into Column and Row Locations
  - Only single Measure allowed into Columns location (regular Pies allow this for multiple Pie rendering)
  - No more then 2 items on Rows
- No Dimensional Zoom
- Pies will misalign if non-additive Measure is used (like Margin%)
- These chart types are also available in Jaspersoft Studio.
Updated Color Palette
In v5.5 we had 9 Colors before we began using them over.

Interactive Report Viewer

  The user can +/- Magnify report output in the interactive report viewer.

  Let's the user enter a search string with jump-to location access across a large report in the interactive report viewer.

  Displays a Table of Contents with click-through access to bookmarks that are defined in JRXML reports.

Token-Based External Authentication (aka pre-authentication)
- Token-based authentication or pre-authentication is a scenario in which Jasper Reports Server uses Spring Security for authorization only; the user has already been reliably authenticated by some external system prior to accessing the application.

Documentation Improvements
We have reorganized some of our product documentation for ease of use. In previous releases, the installation guide included information about upgrade. In this release, the installation guide describes new installations only; for information about upgrading from previous versions or from other editions of the product, please refer to the new JasperReports Server Upgrade Guide.

Support for Spring 3.1.4. Please note that only Version 2.0.7 of Spring Security is supported.
