How to change default style of AdHoc based report
Answer:
If you would like to change default style of one single report:
You can apply your custom formatting to AdHoc View based report via the JIVE Formatting menu that is available when you click on the table's header.

After applying a custom formatting you can save your report under the different name.

If you would like to change default style for all newly created AdHoc based reports:
Let's consider one practical sample that could help you to clarify how to modify the default template for AdHoc Reports.
Task:
We should change the default color of AdHoc Table's column header to bright green.
Theoretical part:
AdHoc feature by default to render reports uses Actual Size template.
AdHoc templates are stored in the folder: /public/templates
The name of the physical file that represents Actual Size template is : /public/templates/actual_size.510.jrxml
To change the color of the default template and apply it to a newAdHoc Report we should:
run JasperSoft Studio
connect to JasperReports Server and open in Studio the physical file that represents default template (actual_size.510.jrxml)
then we should open the style that contains the configuration of Table's header text style and modify color.
Please refer to the screenshot below:
- save the default template file back to the Repository (this could be done by clicking Save button)
- create AdHoc Report from the desired View and save it. Please see the result below:
