Changing the version of Java used by iReport

This article explains how to configure your installation of iReport to use a specific version or installation of Java.

Details

In order to change the version of Java being used to run iReport, add or update the following setting in <ireport-install-directory>/conf/ireportpro.conf or <ireport-install-directory>/ireport/etc/ireportpro.conf (depending on your installation):

jdkhome="C:Program FilesJavajdk1.7"

Note: Be sure that the above line does not have a # at the beginning of the line after you have updated it, as this makes it a comment rather than a property setting.
