hyperlinking to a pdf file on a local network drive

Hi

I can create hyperlinks to a website (i.e. www.google.com) in a jrxml report template, but i how do i create a hyperlink to a pdf or word document that is sitting on a network drive (i.e. P drive, G drive, J drive)?

I have a dataset table where one column contains a list of network drive file paths to individual reports. Is there a way to bring this column or field into the details section of the jrxml report template, then publish and view in the main interface and the User can click on the network path and it will automatically open that document whether if it will be a pdf, word, etc? If so, instead of displaying the network path in the user view report, can we have an alias saying "view" so that the User can click on this and therefore the file of interest pops up?
