Jasper Reports Server Installation

Greetings community:

I'm trying to install Jasper Reports Server and I'm getting the next error message.

Error running C:Jaspersoftjasperreports-server-cp-5.6.1/postgresql/bin/psql.exe -U postgres -p 5432 -h 127.0.0.1 -c "ALTER USER postgres PASSWORD '****'" : psql: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "127.0.0.1" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?
 

This server it's a Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard x64 and I'm using the jasperreports-server-cp-5.6.1-windows-x64-installer.exe choosing the full installation, I'm using a administrator user and selected the folder C:Jaspersoft as destination folder. I understand that the database can't be started, but I'm using the full install and this is a new instance just for reporting.

I've found jasperreports server installer sometimes errors out during postgresql installation. I've also found that it's often just a waste of time trying to find the cause. Recommend that you manually install postgresql and use that or better yet to use mysql instead.

Hi guys, just to let you know how I solve this issue. I was using a windows 2008 server debug version, that's why it wasn't working properly, I change the OS to a complete version and the installer do their job smoothly.
