Using Variables in Crosstab

Hi,

I have searched most of the fourm but not able to get answer to my question.

I have a cross tab retrieved from a query

                  Col1     Col2  col3  ..........  Total

Row1         30         40      50  

Row2       10          30       40

row3           10      15        25

 

I need to be able to store the First row values (30,40, 50)  as the first row values have to be used in calculations of a different column.   But Crosstab does not allow the use  of variables. I tried to see if adding another measure woudl work. but that does not work also. Parameters also do not work here. 

Please help... cannot figure out what to use - to access first row values or store the first row values
