Markjdsmith
If I stop my aws ec2 instance will I lose the reports definitions from the jaspersoft server? i want to shut it down during quiet periods, then fire it back up afterwards, I'm just not sure how the domains, data sources etc are persisted.... Solution marianol Posted April 18, 2014 Solution Share Posted April 18, 2014 If you only stop the instance your reports and full repository will persist and will be there for you when you start it again (think of it as shutting down the machine). But if you TERMINATE the instance the ESB volume (the HDD of that instance will be destroyed and your data will be lost.See the difference and some extra information here: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/Stop_Start.htmlBest!-----If this answer solved your problem remmeber to use the checkmark next to is so its marked as resolved and will be easier for other community members to find in the future
marianol
One more comment, remember that your DATABASE is not in that instance, it will be stored in RDS or Redshift or whatever you are connecting to so that is a separate instance not in the EC2 where you have JasperSoft
