Chart and Table in same band

I have been trying to create a report in iReport v5.0 that has a Line Chart and a table in the same band.  I put the line chart in the Summary Band, and fed it the values and it works fine.  However, I cannot get a table, using the same values to fill in that band.  I tried the table in the Title Band and it worked.  However, the chart did not work properly.  How can I get both components in one band, and optimally, is there a way to link the table and the chart to use the exact same values, or to create one from the other?  Thank you!

Hi Michael,

if you could attach a sample (best on foodmart data) it would be easier to understand what you mean "cannot get" and "did not work".

Also, beware or positioning - you can link one object to the top of the band, and the other to the bottom. By default it would be overlapping properly as both are top-attached.
