mjenkins_1
Hi,I'm currently using iReport 4.7.1. I have a main report that calls a subreport which queries a sqlite table for a field. This field can vary in size. It's actually a field that stores different size paragraphs. So for example the field can hold a paragraph that contains 71 words or 402 words depending on who the report is ran for. The problem I am having is that when the subreport queries the sqlite table and it returns the 402 word paragraph it's forcing a page break onto another page which is causing a great amout of white space between the details of the report and this paragraph. I actually need it to split across pages if it doesn't fit on the first page. When the query returns the 71 word paragraph it fits fine on one page. I've set the split type to Immediate and it still forces a page break instead of splitting onto the second page. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? Any help would be appreciated it. I'm attaching xml for you to view.
lucianc
The text field has isPrintWhenDetailOverflows="true", which is not required. The page break element is not required either.Could you try the report with these two items removed?Regards,Lucian
mjenkins_1
Thanks for your reply. I tried the above and still get the same result. Any more ideas would be great. Thanks!
lucianc
The isResetPageNumber attribute of the master group forces each group to start a new page. What happens when you clear that attribute?
