Lead Developer - DW/BI

LOCATION: Greater Boston Area

  

DESCRIPTION: The Lead Developer is responsible for working with members of the architecture, software engineering and product management to design and implement the DW/BI solution for Enterprise Platform.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Experience working with data warehouses, data marts, and OLAP technologies

·         Experience in Extract Transformation and Load (ETL) design principles

·         Demonstrated experience in using Business Intelligence tools and Reporting

·         Experience designing, maintaining and implementing aggregate data marts

·         Experience designing secure data access layer to support multi-user and multi-tenant applications

·         Ability to develop complex SQL and PL/SQL queries

·         Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, terminology and architecture

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills

·         Design, Develop and Interpret Dimensional and Predictive Models

·         Lead internal and contracted teams to perform detailed design of the software

·         Prove the feasibility of an entire software architecture, parts, and aspects leveraged by prototyping

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or related field.

·         5+ years experience leading enterprise software development and coordinating project teams of 4 or more members

·         5+ years with hands-on experience as team lead, developer or architect for BI/DW system

·         Fluent in English. Other languages a plus.

·         Experience with developing analytic applications, dashboards, reports, scorecards

·         Broad and deep data warehousing and data integration experience

·         Strong conceptual and analytical skills: SQL, problem solving, performance tuning, test case analysis.

·         Full life cycle experience in data integration, data warehousing, and master data management.

 

Additional experience preferred but not required:

·         Experience with ODI, Informatica, DataStage, Oracle Warehouse Builder – Data Integration

·         Experience with OBIEE, Cognos, JapserSoft, MicroStrategy, Pentaho, Business Objects  – Business Intelligence

·         Experience with JPA/JPQL, Hibernate, Java, J2EE, Oracle Fusion Middleware- Application Development
