Bizarre error no idea how to fix

Ok - here's the situation - I am running iReport via VMWare on an Ubuntu machine.  When I moved the source files to my Ubuntu directory I started getting the message below.

I already tried opening them and converting them to Window format and that does not seem to correct the issue. 

Any idea what could be causing this?

where did you move them from? a Windows machine? if so, I would re-download and install using the binaries for Ubuntu - not copying a Windows format....
