Problems After Uploading a Report from iReport

I have created a report with 2 detail areas each containing an image in the background which is an official form that the database will fill. This form also carries an image of a signature and 2 sub forms which provide additional required information.

I have got everything to work including adding a control prompting the user to choose a report number from a drop down list.

My problems start however after I have uploaded the report to 'Jasper Reports'. Even though the report will run in Jasper Reports it is now broken at the source in iReports. All the sub forms and images are orphaned and I don't know how to get them back. I have checked the paths and they are unchanged. If I copy all the files to a different directory and put them back after the upload I can keep working. So something is being modified on the iReports side.

Does anyone have any ideas what is happening.
