Passing Security Roles via XML/A to SSAS 2008 Cube

Hi,

Has anyone successfully passed Security Roles via an XML/A connection to SSAS 2008 to restrict access to data within a Dimension e.g. based on customer Id.

I believe you can pass role(s) as part of the DataSource in the format:

Provider=MSOLAP;DataSource=localhost;Roles=Role1,Role2,Role3

I can successfully connect to a SSAS 2008 cube via my Analysis View but I currently don't have access to define Roles within the SSAS / the schema to test with, so am hoping someone else has done this before?

I'm using JasperServer 3.7.0 CE.
